Roger D. LeBlanc, 73, of 38 Madison Way, Hubbardston, died peacefully Sunday, January 12, 2014 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner, surrounded by his family, following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on October 8, 1940, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Alexandrina (Richard) LeBlanc.
He attended Gardner High School, Gardner and graduated from Worcester Trade High School, Worcester in 1957.
Roger was a machinist employed by Pratt & Whitney of Berwick, Maine for several years, retiring in 2005. He was previously employed by R. Smith Colonial Furniture as a salesman, Marty's Taxi of Gardner and A.P. Machine Company of Templeton.
Roger was a United States Air Force Veteran.
He was a member of Holy Cross Church, Templeton.
Roger enjoyed watching television, going to the beach and he loved spending time in Maine. He was a loving, devoted grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Roger leaves his wife of 50 years, Barbara A. (Gauthier) LeBlanc of Hubbardston; two sons, Michael K. LeBlanc and his wife Marcia of Rochester, NY and Craig T. LeBlanc and his wife Carolyn of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters, Lisa J. Molton and her husband Phillip of Baldwinville and Jodie L. Chatigny and her husband Scott of Westminster; one brother, Thomas LeBlanc of North Hampton, MA; twelve grandchildren, Renee, Cole, Brooke, Jacob, Luke and Olivia LeBlanc, Raegan and Sidney Molton and Tyler, Michael, Hayden and Chloe Chatigny; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Arthur LeBlanc.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 20th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 26 Lake Avenue, E. Templeton. Burial will be on Tuesday, January 21st at 3:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
A calling hour will be held Monday, January 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
