Roger G. Doucet, 70, of 13 Leamy Street, Gardner, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, April 8th, 2013.
He was born in Gardner on April 13, 1942 , the son of Joseph E. and Sophie M. (Leger) Doucet.
Mr. Doucet graduated from Holy Rosary School, Gardner, and then attended Notre Dame High School, Fitchburg, from which he graduated in 1961. He then worked for 20 years at Union Twist Drill Co., Athol.
He was never married and had no children. He leaves one brother, Robert Doucet, of Worcester; one step-nephew, Eugene Degre, of Holden; and one niece, Denise Christian. He was pre deceased by his brother, Norman Doucet who died in 2006 at the age of 67.
Roger lived in Gardner his entire life. He enjoyed playing cards and socializing with his friends at the fraternal Order of the Eagles, where he was a loyal member for many years.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 26th at 1:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. There are no calling hours.
