Roger A. Cormier, 88, of Clermont, FL, died Monday, February 22, 2016 in South Lake Hospital, Clermont Florida.
Born in Gardner on April 7, 1927, he was the son of the late Phillippe and Cecile Cormier. Prior to moving to Clermont in 2001, he lived in Cliffwood Beach, Edison and Milltown, NJ.
Roger was a mail carrier for the United States Post Office in Milltown for 20 years, before retiring in 1987.
He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion Post 25 in Milltown. He was also a member of the Milltown Senior Citizens Club.
Roger leaves his longtime companion, Michele Melnyk; son, William Cormier of Jacksonville FL; granddaughter, Christina Wilkoff; and great grandson Joey of West Palm Beach; and several nieces and nephews in Massachusetts.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 11th at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
