Robert A. "Bob" Perreault, 87, of 125 Connors Street, Gardner, formerly of 13 Regan Street, Gardner, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Lake Avenue North, Worcester.
Born in Gardner on December 24, 1923, he was the son of the late Ernest and Agnes (Brodeur) Perreault.
Prior to retiring in 1986, Bob was a Meat Cutter for 36 years employed by A & P Supermarkets in Gardner, Winchendon and Peterborough.
He attended school in the Poughkeepsie, NY area.
Bob was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Gardner, and its Marie Riviera Adoration Chapel, and was a 50 year member of the church choir, and also served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a former member and leader of the prayer group, "Renew", several years ago.
Bob was a United States WWII Army Veteran, and received the WWII Victory Medal.
He enjoyed traveling, dining out and most especially spending time with his family.
Bob was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Theresa (Soucy) Perreault, who died July 26, 1999.
He leaves two sons, Francis R. Perreault and his wife Judy of Bow, NH and Kenneth G. Perreault of Henderson, NV; two daughters, Renee T. Gaskins and her husband Philip of Sacramento, CA and Michelle R. Quattrociocchi and her husband Paul of E. Templeton, MA; one brother, Leo Perreault and his wife Phyllis of Port Orange, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Nina Perreault of Woonsocket, RI and Anna Perreault of Leominster; four grandsons, Scott, Dana, Michael and Stephen Perreault; eight great-grandsons, Colyn, Hayden, Chase, Kasen, Hunter, Austin, Matthew and Zachary Perreault; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, George and Raymond Perreault.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 16th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday, April 15th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
