Robert G. "Bobby" LeBlanc, 55, of 66 South Main St., East Templeton, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 9th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, shortly after being stricken ill at home.
Born in Gardner on March 3, 1949, he was the son of Edward T. and Jennie A. (Desonie) LeBlanc.
At the time of his death he was President of People's Fuel, Inc. of Gardner where he was employed for 36 years.
He was a 1967 graduate of Narragansett Regional High School.
He was a member of Holy Cross Church, East Templeton.
He was a member of West End Beagle Club, Deep Sea Club, Gardner Fish & Gun Club, Acadien Social Club and V.F.W. Ovila Case Post 905 of Gardner.
Mr. LeBlanc enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and spending time at his second home in Bourne at Cape Cod.
He was an organ donor.
Mr. LeBlanc was a Vietnam War U.S. Army Veteran and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Medal, Vietnam Cross Gallantry, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Bronze Star Medal.
He leaves his wife of 36 years, Judy A. (Cormier) LeBlanc of East Templeton; 1 son, Troy R. LeBlanc and wife Lisa L. LeBlanc of Fort Lauderdale, FL; 1 daughter, Christina S. LeBlanc of Gardner; 1 brother, Henry LeBlanc of Safford, AZ; 3 sisters, Nancy Purdie of Gardner, Barbara Sillanpaa of Otter River and Linda LeBlanc of Baldwinville; 1 grandson, Jacob L. Nichols of Lexington, NC; several aunts, nieces and nephews. He also leaves a very dear nephew, Chad E. LeBlanc of Winchendon. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward LeBlanc of Athol who died in 1996.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 12th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, November 11th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
