Robert A. "Bob" Huddleston, 55, of 22 Greenwood Place, Gardner, died unexpectedly Friday, May 27th in Heywood Hospital.
Born in Gardner on July 20, 1955, he was the son of H. Alan Huddleston and the late Gloria (Sawyer) Huddleston.
Bob was a mechanic employed by the former H & R 1871 for 19 years, retiring in 2009.
He was a 1973 graduate of Gardner High School. Bob was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
He was a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather (Pepere) who loved spending time with his family and friends. His passion was riding his motorcycle with his wife, family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bob leaves his father, H. Alan Huddleston of Meadow Lake, TX; his wife of 14 years, Debra A. (Griffith) Huddleston of Gardner; four children, Jamie A. Huddleston of Nashville, TN, Jodi L. Huddleston of Gardner, Michelle N. Duguay and her fiance Orin Mase of Woburn and James M. Duguay of Quincy; one sister, Shirley Ann Hursey and her husband Van of Gardner; two grandchildren, Tyler Arnold and Samantha Cormier; two aunts, Corinne Moore and Shirley Larocque; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Wednesday, June 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115.
Bob's family would like to extend a special "thank you" to all the medical staff who improved his quality of life for the past 5 years.
