Robert V. "Bob" Falvey, 77, of 27 Bates Road, Gardner died Tuesday, November 4th in the Golden Living Center of Fitchburg, following a long illness.
Born in Somerville, MA on February 5, 1931, he was the son of the late Daniel and Ethel (Waters) Falvey.
Bob was a Meat Department Manager employed by Stop and Shop Supermarket of Gardner for 38 years, retiring in 1994.
He graduated from Somerville High School, Somerville with the class of 1949.
Bob enjoyed watching football.
He leaves his wife of 28 years, Ann I. (Gagne) Falvey of Gardner; one stepson, Mark D. Morris and his wife Julie of Gardner; two step-grandaughters, Nicole Manca of Gardner and Hannah Manca of Templeton; one step-greatgrandson, Aiden Sylvester of Gardner; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his stepdaughter, Deanna M. Manca who died in 2006; two brothers, Thomas and Daniel Falvey; and two sisters, Wilma Higgins and Norma Falvey.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 8th at 6:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Saturday, November 8th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Mass. Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
