Robert J."Rob" Brassard

Robert J. "Rob" Brassard, 37, of 21 N. Main Street, E. Templeton, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner following a long battle with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy.
Born in Gardner on March 29, 1974, he was the son the Richard C. and Patricia A. (Gallagher) Brassard.
He graduated from GAAMHA, Inc. the former Caps Collaborative of Gardner in 1996, and worked there packing medical supplies for many years after his graduation. He was previously employed by Olsen's Restaurant in Templeton, the Boardwalk in Gardner and Scratch and Dent Auto Body in Templeton.
Rob was a member of Holy Cross Church in E. Templeton.
He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and NASCAR racing. He enjoyed bike riding, doing yard work and loved making toasted cheese sandwiches. He also enjoyed watching comedy shows on television. Rob's greatest enjoyment came from being with people and offering a helping hand.
He was predeceased by his father, Richard C. Brassard, who died September 30, 1986; and by his sister, Laura A. Brassard who died September 22, 1989.
He leaves his mother, Patricia A. (Gallagher) Brassard of Templeton; one brother, Richard C. Brassard, Jr of Templeton; one sister, Debra L. (Brassard) LeBlanc and her husband David A. of Templeton; one uncle, James S. Gallagher of Whitinsville; and five cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 27th at 3:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Reverend Brian O'Toole of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Tuesday, December 27th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
