Robert Henry "Bob" Beauregard, 77, of 116 Church Street, Gardner, died unexpectedly Monday, August 10th in his residence.
Born in Gardner on November 15, 1931, he was the son of the late Clement H. and Emma (Caouette) Beauregard, Sr.
Prior to retiring in 2002, Bob was a furniture worker employed by LaRoche Brothers of Gardner. He previously was employed by Lilly Chemical of Templeton.
Bob graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1949.
Bob was a United States Korean War Navy Veteran, and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal. During his service he reported to BuPers as a qualified Linquist, Translator and Interpreter of French.
He was a member of the V.F.W. Ovila Case, Post 905 of Gardner and the Napoleon Club of Gardner.
Bob enjoyed watching television and playing cards. He loved sports. He was a "Yankee" fan, and enjoyed basketball, bowling and softball.
Bob leaves two sisters, Claire H. Bourque and her husband Leo A. of Gardner and Carlene M. Beauregard of Gardner; one sister-in-law, Eveline Beauregard of Templeton; one niece, Denise A. Harris of Gardner; one nephew, David A. Bourque of Milford, NH; one great-nephew, Jason Cote; one great-niece, Megan Harris; one great-great nephew, Anderson Cote; and one great-great niece, Emma Maylin. He was predeceased by two brothers, Clement H. Beauregard, Jr and Vernon R. Beauregard.
A private Graveside Service will be held in Notre Dame Cemetery, Garder at a later date.
