Rita M. Maillet, 88 of 32 Hospital Hill Rd., Gardner and formerly of 125 Connors St., died Wednesday, August 10th in the Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner, following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on April 14, 1917 she was the daughter of Daniel P. and Marguerite (Robichaud) Maillet.
She was a packer employed by the former Heywood-Wakefield Co. of Gardner for 40 years, retiring in 1972.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She was a member of the Gardner Golden Agers.
Rita enjoyed playing Beano at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church where she also volunteered. She enjoyed bowling and going to Maine.
She leaves a sister, Loretta Agnelli and her husband John of Gardner; 3 nieces, 3 nephews and several cousins. She was predeceased by 4 brothers, Rev. Ovila Maillet of Canada, George and Arthur Maillet both of Gardner, Alderic Maillet of CA and 2 sisters, Yvonne Schaffer and Stella Coulombe, both of Gardner.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Saturday, August 13th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
