Rita M. (Delisle) Fredette, 89, of 43 Battles Street, Leominster, and formerly of Gardner, died peacefully, Sunday, April 7, 2013 in The Highlands, Fitchburg.
Born in Fitchburg on March 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Marie Louise (Fluet) Delisle.
Rita worked in the cafeteria of the Westminster Elementary School for many years, retiring in 1979.
She graduated from St. Bernard's High School, Fitchburg with the Class of 1941.
Rita was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Westminster. She was also a member of A.A.R.P.
She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, crafts and most especially spending time with her family.
Rita was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Arthur J. Fredette who died November 4, 2003.
She leaves two sons, Richard A. Fredette and his wife Heidi of Leominster and Gerard N. Fredette and his wife Claire of Sacramento, CA; two daughters, Elaine L. Goguen and her husband Wayne of Westminster and Joanne E. Blood and her husband Mike of Westminster; one brother, Francis Delisle and his wife Jean of Florida; three sisters, Lucille Jacques of New Ipswich, NH, Germaine Caissie of Worcester and Constance Bouley of Spencer; thirteen grandchildren, Paula and her husband Peter, Kevin and his wife Catherine, David, Brian, Courtney, Kenneth and his wife Brittney, Marco and his wife Christine, Aaron and his wife Heather, Jay and his wife Heather, Alex, Rachel, Will and Marisa; twelve great-grandchildren, Micayla, Alyssa, Kevin and his wife Cathy, Katelyn, Chelsea, Adam, Kyle, Bob, Charlie, Richard, Andrew and Mila Rose; one great-great grandchild, Gianna; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Jean Paul Delisle; one sister, Pauline Lessard; and by one great-grandson, Ken.
There are no scheduled services or calling hours.
