Rita R. (Bernard) Beauregard, 95, of 47 E. Main St., West Brookfield and formerly of 162 Blanchard St., Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, March 18th in Quaboag On The Common, West Brookfield, surrounded by her family.
Born in Winchendon on December 28, 1913, she was the daughter of William and Georgianna (Berard) Bernard.
Mrs. Beauregard was a salesclerk employed by the former J. A. LeBlanc Co. of Gardner for 13 years until retiring in 1964.
Rita was a 1931 graduate of Murdock High School, Winchendon.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and regularly listened to its the Sunday morning Mass radio broadcast.
She was an avid card player and enjoyed ballroom dancing.
Her husband, Paul E. Beauregard, died in 1963.
She leaves 2 daughters, Joanne R. Wilson and her husband James C. of West Brookfield, Pauline A. Speed and her husband Ronn of Martha's Vineyard; 6 grandchilren, Martha Harrison, Dr. James Wilson III, Andrew Wilson, Atty. Joseph Wilson, Ann Carpenter and Paul Racette; 9 great-grandchildren, Lile and Tessa Harrison, Robert S., Ryan S., Steven, Jacob and Erica Wilson, Robert Demont and Brent Carpenter; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Roland Bernard and 5 sisters, Juliette Currier, Mary Thibodeau, Pauline Morriseau, Anna Dabb and Hortence Rogers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Saturday, March 21st from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
