Rita Dymek Beaton

Rita M. (Dymek) Beaton, 90, of Gardner, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2024, in The Highlands, Fitchburg, after a period of declining health. 

Born in Gardner on June 10, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Kazmera (Pszczolski) Dymek. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1951. Rita was a secretary employed by MART Transportation of Fitchburg and Gardner for many years before her retirement. She was previously employed by Digital Equipment Corporation of Westminster. 

Rita was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Gardner. Her hobbies included knitting, coloring, and reading, which brought her immense joy. She took pleasure working in her garden on those sunny days, a testament to her love for nature. However, her true pride and joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be treasured forever. 

Rita is survived by her three sons, John Beaton and his wife Karen of Gardner, Kevin Beaton and his wife Lisa of Gardner, and Michael Beaton and his wife Shannon of Athol; a daughter, Mary Jane Beaton-Doyle and her husband Joshua, of Seattle, WA; eight grandchildren, Collins, Corey, and Joshua Beaton, Callie Knower, Michael, Seth, and Casey Beaton, and Iris Beaton- Doyle; two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Camden Beaton; a brother Stanley Dymek and his wife Becky of South Carolina; several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander Beaton, who died in 1981, and her son, Bruce Beaton, who died in 2011. 

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
