Richard "Rich" A. Thibault, 62, of 12 Clark Street, Gardner died Tuesday, December 18th in Heywood Hospital, following a brief illness.
He was born in Fitchburg on August 19, 1945, the son of the late Alphonse and Mary (Gingras) Thibault.
Prior to his illness, Richard was an inventory control clerk for 14 years, employed by Walmart in Rindge, NH.
He was a 1964 graduate of Lunenburg High School, and later received an Associate Degree in Business Administration.
Richard was a United States Vietnam War Army Veteran, and received the National Defense Service Medal.
Richard was a member of the American Legion Post 129 of Gardner, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #747 of Gardner, and the Beagle Club of Gardner. He was a past member of the Gardner Lodge of Elks.
"Rich" was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Juliet (Hamel) Thibault of Gardner; one sister, Patricia Ganeau of Gardner; one son, Jesse S. Drake and his wife Jennifer of Clinton; one granddaughter, Olivia B. Drake of Clinton; and one niece.
Funeral services and burial will be at a later date in the Winchendon Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
Calling hours in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner will be Wednesday, December 26th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
