Richard “Rick” A. Moore, Jr., 59, of Fitchburg, died peacefully Sunday, September 12, 2021, surrounded by family in Fitchburg Healthcare, Fitchburg, after an illness.
Born in Palmer on September 23, 1961, he was the son of Cecile E. Maharne and the late Richard A. Moore, Sr. Rick was a Trainer of New Employees employed by GAAMHA, Inc. of Gardner for several years. He was previously a contractor where he worked on deck building.
Rick was a friend of Bill W. He was a man of many passions who enjoyed being outside, riding his bicycle, and a craftsman especially in woodworking. Rick loved going camping and many times found the peaceful nature brought in Maine. Rick always treasured his time with his friend Neil out at breakfast and hanging out with his friend Patrick.
Besides his mother Cecile E. Maharne of St. Peterburg, FL, Rick is survived by his four sisters, Robin Wheeler and her husband Kevin of Fitchburg, Debbie Bickham of Connecticut, Terri Roy and her husband Butch of Springfield and Jackie Lefebvre and her husband Dennis of Poland, ME; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brother, Tom Moore.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.
A Calling Hour will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
