Richard R. “Dick” Martin, 76, of Winchendon, died peacefully, Monday, April 27, 2020 in Fitchburg HealthCare, after an illness.
Born in Fitchburg on March 5, 1944, he was the son of the late Ralph Raymond and Alphonsine Eva (Surrette) Martin. Dick was a mechanic employed by the City of Fitchburg Department of Public Works Department for several years until his retirement.
Dick was a member of the Saint Joseph’s Club of Fitchburg. He loved the outdoors and sitting by a stream or lake to fish and he also enjoyed working on cars. But the time that Dick loved and cherished the most was time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Dick is survived by his daughters, Charlene Martin and Patricia Martin both of Winchester, NH; two brothers, Butch Martin and his wife Janice of Maine, and Henry Martin and his wife Pauline of Maine; two sisters, Nancy Morse of Florida, and Sue Martin of Maine; five grandchildren, Elaina, Selina, Sam, John and Niko; four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Cole, Hope and L.J.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife Elaine (LeBlanc) Martin, who died in 1988.
Funeral Services will be held and announced at a later date.
