Richard T. "Dickie" LaFortune, 57, of 862 Patriots Road, Templeton died Saturday, October 24th in Templeton.
Born in Winchendon on September 21, 1952, he was the son of the late Richard P. and Laura F. (Proto) LaFortune.
Dickie attended Murdock High School in Winchendon.
Prior to retiring in 1999, he was a press operator for several years, employed by Wain-Roy Manufacturing Co. of Hubbardston. He was previously employed by Collier - Keyworth Co. of Gardner.
Dickie loved to spend his time playing pool, fishing, hunting, gardening and feeding birds.
He leaves three brothers, Thomas A. LaFortune and his wife Jody of Largo, FL, Steven A. LaFortune and his significant other Patricia of Leominster and Gregory J. LaFortune and his wife Kenne of Gardner; two sisters, Valerie A. Wheeler and her husband John of Warwick, RI and Deborah J. Richard and her husband Michael of Templeton; his former wife Michelle (Cormier) LaFortune; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Timothy J. LaFortune.
A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, November 4th at 11:00 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton. Pastor John Wheeler will officiate.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
