Richard G"Dick" Greanier Sr

December 7, 1932 — June 22, 2014

Richard 'Dick' G. Greanier Sr., 81, of 30 Madison Way, Hubbardston, died peacefully Sunday, June 22nd in Legend Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Gardner, following a short illness.

Born in Northampton on December 7, 1932, he was the son of the late Leo G. and Honora M. (Joy) Greanier.

He was an instructor in the Human Resources Department of the Claremont Flock Corporation of Claremont, NH for two years until retiring in 2005.
He was previously employed in the Personnel Departments of Westminster and Maynard Digital Corporation.

Richard enjoyed visiting historical sites, camping, dining out and driving his car. He especially loved his dog, Gavin.

Mr. Greanier was very active in the Boy Scouts of Chesterfield, MA and also with the local Monadnock Council.

He was predeceased by his wife, Aurea (Augusto) Greanier, who died in 2006.

He leaves two daughters, Mary-Ann Greanier and her life partner, Wayne Bryant of Plainville, Susan O'Coin and her husband Brian of Templeton; 2 grandchildren, April Joy Tamulen, and Karin Ann Tamulen and her husband Brian Hart. He also leaves his life partner, Joan McCarthy of Hubbardston and a close family friend, Cindy Kennedy. He was predeceased by a son, Richard G. "Buddy" Greanier, Jr . who died in 1984, a brother Robert F. Greanier and a sister, Mary-Ann Greanier.

A Celebration of his Life will be held Saturday, June 28th at 1:00 p.m. in the Baldwinville American Legion Post 373, 3 Central Street, Baldwinville.

Burial of cremains in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner, will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
