Richard P. "Rick" Doyle

Richard P."Rick" Doyle, 49, of 981 Patriots Rd., Templeton, died peacefully Sunday, January 8th surrounded by his family in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Gardner.following an illness.
Born in Cambridge on May 11, 1956, he was the son of John Doyle.
He was a computer engineer employed by Frictionless Commerce Co. of Cambridge for 20 years. He was previously employed by Teradyne and GenRad of Concord and North Reading.
He was a 1975 graduate of Don Bosco High School, Boston. He completed his Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from Wentworth Technical Institute in 1980 and attended Lowell University.
He was a member of GenRad Alumni Group.
Rick enjoyed volleyball, kayaking, building model boats, camping and spending time at his cottage in Manomet, MA with his family.
He leaves his wife of 19 years, Louisa J. (Bingham) Doyle of Templeton; his mother, Sally (Norrish) Doyle of Manomet; 2 sons, Michael P. and Patrick I. Doyle, both of Templeton; 1 brother, Jack Doyle and wife Elaine of Whitinsville; 2 sisters, Marie and Doreen Doyle both of Derry, NH; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Sally Ellis of Hanson who died in 1995.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 12th @ 8:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, January 12th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gardner Visiting Nursing Assn., 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
