Rena (Martin) Hebert, 89, of 125 Connors Street, Gardner died Monday, November 26, 2012 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner following a long illness.
Rena was born in St. Basil, N.B. Canada on February 20, 1923, the daughter of the late Fred and Celina (Bois) Martin.
She was a stitcher employed by the former C.H. Hartshorns, Inc. of Gardner for several years.
Rena was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and its Ladies of St. Anne Society. She was also a member of the Gardner Golden Agers.
She enjoyed word search puzzles, knitting, crocheting and playing the organ.
Rena leaves one son, Normand R. Hebert and his wife Kathy of Vernon, VT; one daughter, Rolande Fisher and her husband Clayton of Severn, MD; two brothers, Yvon Martin and Ernest Martin both of Canada; four grandchildren, Karen Balsley, Kevin Fisher, Lisa Weger and Gary Atkins; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Balsley, Trevor Balsley, Rachel Weger, Cashman Weger, Joshua Fisher, Chelsea Fisher and Bailey Fisher; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one daughter, Gail Atkins; three brothers, Moryl Martin, Patrick Martin and Armand Martin; and one sister, Aline Clavet.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 1st at 1:00 p.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
