Raymond A. Sawyer, 49, died Saturday, September 19th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner. He was a resident of Horace Mann Educational Associates, 63 Lakeview Drive, Gardner.
He was born in Athol on December 26, 1959, the son of the late Ernest and Ethel (Bruno) Sawyer.
Raymond loved animals, especially dogs. He enjoyed going on van rides, going to "Chuckie Cheese", eating pizza and watching Nascar racing on television. Raymond also loved to sleep. He was fun-loving and friendly, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and cared for him.
Raymond leaves three brothers, Richard Sawyer and his wife Claudette of Buckeye, Arizona, Ernest Sawyer and his wife Carol of Florida and Randy Sawyer of Florida; two sisters, Eva Gilbert and her husband Paul of Worcester and Kathie White of Fitchburg; one brother-in-law, James Alliy of Florida; two aunts; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by four sisters, Irene Bastine, Ruth Thompson, Pearl Alliy and June Sawyer.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 2nd at 1:30 p.m. in Worcester County Memorial Park Cemetery, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton, MA.
