Raymond A. Richard, 65, of 125 Connors St., Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, December 11th in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Gardner, following an illness.

Born in Gardner on September 5, 1940, he was the son of Leonard R. and Laura (Richard) Richard.

He was employed by Gardner Athol Area Mental Health, the former Colonial Hotel in Gardner from 1973 to 1975, a dispatcher at Marty's Taxi of Gardner and was a stockboy at the former IGA of Gardner.

He was a 1958 graduate of Gardner High School.

Raymond was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and he loved to pray. He enjoyed singing and giving of himself to family & friends. He was a volunteer at the Crystal House of Gardner.

He leaves 2 brothers, Ronald H. Richard, Omer A. Richard and wife Gloria, 1 sister, Diana M. Leger and husband Ronald all of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 14th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.

A calling hour at the funeral home will be Wednesday, December 14th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Crystal House, 55 Lake St., Gardner, MA 01440.
