Raymond “Satch” C. Page, 82, of Ashburnham, died peacefully Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Port Healthcare Center, Newburyport, after a fall.
Born in Ashburnham on April 8, 1940, he was the son of the late William and Eva (LaFrenier) Page. He graduated from Fitchburg High School with the Class of 1958. Raymond was a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1961 to 1964. He was a Machine Operator employed by Simplex Time Recorder of Gardner for 40-years prior to his retirement in 1999.
Ray was a volunteer Firefighter for the Town of Ashburnham for more than forty years. He was an avid sports fan, closely following all the local teams. Ray was also a longtime umpire for local baseball and softball leagues until 2015.
Ray is survived by his two sons, Darren E. Page and his wife Laurie of Newbury, and Eric J. Page and his wife Angela of Connecticut; two grandchildren, Kiersten and Daniel Page; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother, Albert Page and his sister, Anita Duval.
Calling Hours will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, at 12:00 p.m., in the funeral home. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ashburnham Fire Department, 99 Central Street, Ashburnham, MA 01430. Please reference in memory of Raymond C. Page.
