Raymond J. "Bud" Jaillet, 87, of Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in Rose Monahan Hospice Home of Worcester, following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on August 23, 1930, he was the son of the late Antellien and Julie (Comeau) Jaillet.
Raymond graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1948. In 1961 and 1962, he attended Worcester Boys Trade School of Worcester where he studied electrical work.
Raymond was employed by Nichols & Stone Company of Gardner as an electrician for 21 years, retiring in 2000. He was previously employed by Heywood-Wakefield Company of Gardner for 28 years. Raymond was a member of the Furniture Workers Union.
He enjoyed playing golf, walking, watching movies, and watching his favorite television series NCIS. Raymond was a loyal fan of the New England Patriots and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team.
Raymond was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Leatrice P. (Royer) Jaillet, who died November 22, 2014.
He leaves three sons, Michael A. Jaillet and his wife Deborah of Sharon, MA, Richard A. Jaillet of Ogden, Utah and Rene A. Jaillet and his wife Brenda of Templeton; six grandchildren, Steven, Meghann, Geoffrey, Nichole, Mark and Whitney; six great-grandchildren, Andrew, Hunter, Nathan, Lilyan, Matthew and Leslie; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by five brothers, Hector, George, Henry, Clarence and Roger Jaillet; and by four sisters, Laura Robichaud, Melina Parkhurst, Louise Saulnier and Helen Vincent; and his daughter-in-law, Elaine (Chaisson) Jaillet.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 21st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Monday, November 20th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
