Raymond M. Howard, 61, of 215 Otter River Road, Templeton, died Saturday, June 28th in HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster Campus, following a long illness.
Born in Shoreham by Sea, England on January 31, 1947, he was the son of William L. and Dorothy E. (Fossey) Howard.
Prior to retiring due to illness, Ray was a self-employed Computer Contractor.
He graduated High School in England in 1963.
Ray was a member of Holy Cross Church, E. Templeton, and was a member of the church's choir. He was also a member of the Otter River Knights of Columbus Council #2536, Otter River.
Ray was an accomplished pianist, who loved classical music. He restored, built and raced motorcycles. He also restored cars. Ray designed the computer programming for Harvard Halter Monitoring.
Ray leaves his wife of 25 years, Barbara A. (Collamore) Howard of Templeton; his mother, Dorothy E. (Fossey) Howard of Port Slade, England; two sons, William F. Brisbois and his wife Heather of Springvale, Maine and Jonathan Howard of Templeton; one daughter, Jennifer L. Smith and her husband Yancy of Templeton; Ray was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela J. Brisbois who died in 2002 and he and Barbara raised Pamela's three children, Brenet M., Gregory A and Mason W. Braun all of Templeton; one brother Clifford M. Howard and his wife Christine of Shoreham by Sea, England; five grandchildren; one nephew, Matthew Howard of Shoreham by Sea, England.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3rd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Lake Avenue, Templeton. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery at a later date.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Thursday, July 3rd from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
