Raymond C."Popeye" Gallant

Raymond C. "Popeye" Gallant, 74 of 85 Kilburn Street, Lunenburg, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, November 7, 2011 in his residence.
Raymond was born in S. Royalston on February 14, 1937, the son of the late Joseph and Lillian Gallant.
He was a machinist employed by General Electric Company of Fitchburg for over 30 years, retiring in 1999.
Raymond graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1955.
He was a United States Army Veteran and received the Good Conduct Medal.
Raymond enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, doing yard work and most especially spending time with his two granddaughters.
He leaves one daughter Karen E. Landry and her husband Russ of Lunenburg, with whom he lived; one son, Kerry J. Gallant of California; two granddaughters, Meghan E. Landry and Britney M. Landry both of Lunenburg; his former wife, Blanche; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
