Raymond J. Boudreau

Raymond J. Boudreau, 76, of 8 Jackson Park, Gardner, where he has lived for the last 31 years, died peacefully Monday, July 15, 2013 in St. Vincent's Hospital, Worcester, surrounded by his family.
Born in Gardner on May 17, 1937, he was the son of the late Alban and Bertha (Brideau) Boudreau.
Ray was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier for several years, retiring in 1982. He was previously employed by the former Iandoli's Supermarket of Leominster and the former IGA Supermarket of Gardner as a meat cutter.
Ray graduated from Notre Dame High School, Fitchburg with the Class of 1956. He received his Associates Degree in Business from Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner in 1976.
He proudly served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962 and received the Good Conduct Medal and the Marksman Badge.
Ray was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. Ray was also a member of the Gardner Chapter of AARP.
He was an avid sports fan; especially of the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins. He enjoyed blueberry picking with his brother Norman, and antiquing with his twin brother Bob. Ray enjoyed watching television; his favorites were the History Channel, Animal Planet, Antique Roadshow and several various game shows. He was happiest when spending time with family, especially his daughter and granddaughter.
Ray leaves his wife of 46 years, Anita M. (Maillet) Boudreau of Gardner; one daughter, Michelle Boudreau and granddaughter, Natasha Boudreau of Gardner; one brother, Norman Boudreau and his wife Carol of Fitchburg; two sisters, Dolores DeNapoli and her husband Dr. Jorge DeNapoli of Amesbury and Louise Maillet and her husband Aurele of Nashua, NH and Plant City, FL; two sisters-in-law, Lydia Boudreau of Bedford, PA and Marie Boudreau of Jackson, NJ; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence Boudreau of Jackson, NJ and his twin, Robert Boudreau of Bedford, PA.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 20, 2013 from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be Friday, July 19th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
