Randall P. Yakuben

Randall “Randy” P. Yakuben, 62, of Gardner, sadly passed away Friday, November 9, 2023, in his apartment after suffering lifelong severe head injuries from a car accident at the age of 17.

Born in Gardner on January 25, 1961, Randy would go on to graduate from Narragansett Regional High School with the Class of 1979. He was accepted at Johnson and Wales Culinary School in Rhode Island. Randy aspired to become an executive culinary chef. Unfortunately, his dreams were quickly ended with the result of his car accident. He worked at the Fox Run in Phillipston and at the Otter River Paper Mill for many years.

Randy is survived by his two children, Joshua R. Yakuben and his wife Kelly of Westminster, and Crystal T. Swartz of Westminster; three grandchildren, Tyler J. and Lilyana P. Swartz, and Aiden Thomas Yakuben, all of Westminster; his parents Eva and Gerald “Jerry” Yakuben of Jensen Beach, FL; his soulmate of 21 years, Christine Meskaukus of Gardner; one sister Robin L. Cyr and her husband Yves of Apex, North Carolina.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Leonard and Cecile Yakuben, Leo and Loretta French; his uncle and godfather, Bill French, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

There are no services. He will be interred in his family plot in Phillipston at a later date.
