Rachel R. Laprade, 77, of 100 Blue Grass Trace, Peach Tree City, Georgia, died Monday, August 27tth in Georgia following a short illness.
She was born in Gardner on September 27, 1929, the daughter of the late Leo and Elmira (LaRoche) Laprade.
Ms. Laprade was employed by Eastern Airlines as a Supervisor for 35 years.
She graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1946.
Rachel leaves two brothers, Leo Laprade and his wife Dee of Poughkeepsie, NY and Robert Laprade and his wife Jackie of Gardner; four sisters, Annette Lopez and her husband Phil of Lutz FL, Lucille Daly and her husband Paul of Raleigh, NC, Jane Bibeau of Sumter, SC and Ann-Marie O'Shea and her husband Fran of Munson, MA; one sister-in-law, Doris Laprade of Gardner; one brother-in-law, Michael Mahoney of
Groton, CT; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, James Laprade and one sister, Elaine Mahoney.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, September 13th at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
