Rachel Anne (Cormier) Bois, 79, of 168 West Central St, Natick, MA, and formerly of 104 Church St, Gardner, died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, September 26th in Eliot Health Care Center, Natick following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on March 20, 1928, she was the daughter of Alban and Marguerite (Savoie) Cormier.
Mrs. Bois was a furniture repair person, employed by the former Ethan Allen Manufacturing Co. of S. Ashburnham for twelve years.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner, She was a member of the Holy Cross Church Prayer Group in Templeton, and also a member of the Marie Rivier Oratory Adoration Chapel in Gardner.
Rachel enjoyed making crafts. She volunteered at Waterford Street School assisting Carla Wojtukiewicz.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Robert A. Bois, who died in October of 1993.
She leaves one son, Philip R. Bois of Ashburn, VA; one daughter Jeanne A. Savaria and her husband Edward of Gardner; one brother, Jean Paul Cormier of Worcester; three sisters, Gloria Belliveau and her husband Arthur of Fitchburg, Jeannette LeBlanc of Gardner and Claire Robichaud of Leominster; three grandchildren, Laura Osborn, Erica Simeone and Joana Byam; four great-grandchildren, Chloe and Anthony Simeone, Caroline Osborn and Zachary Byam; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Ronald Cormier of Gardner.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, October 6th at 10:00a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
