Rachel G. (Belliveau) Bergeron, 92, of 32 Hospital Hill Rd. and formerly of 220 Peabody St., Gardner died Tuesday, November 23rd in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner, following an illness.
Born in St. Samuel, Canada on November 22, 1912, she was the daughter of Ovila and Aurore (Richard) Belliveau.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and its Ladies of St. Anne Society.
She was a high school graduate and enjoyed cooking, sewing and working at Holy Rosary Church Bazaar.
Her husband, Robert Bergeron died in 1984.
She leaves 1 daughter, Madeline D. Sullivan and husband William of Plantation, FL; 1 sister, Sister Therese Belliveau of the Gray Nuns of Montreal; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Snow of Margate, FL and Danielle McPhee of South Yarmouth; 1 great-granddaughter, Madeline Grace McPhee of South Yarmouth; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves a dear friend, Roland Levesque of Gardner.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday, November 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary School, 135 Nichols St., Gardner, MA 01440.
