Prime V. Robichaud, 80, of Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after an illness.

Born in Gardner on February 16, 1944, he was the son of the late Prime O. and Eva (LeBlanc) Robichaud. He graduated from Narragansett Regional High School with the Class of 1962. Prime was an appliance technician employed by Robichaud & Beauregard, then by Stasukelis Appliance of Gardner for many years. After leaving Stasukelis Appliance, He was a self-employed appliance technician until his retirement. He was also a self-employed disc jockey for his line dancing group, The Gardner-Athol Country Line Dancers, for several years until his passing.

Prime was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner, practicing at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. He was a member of the American Legion Post 129 of Gardner. Prime enjoyed line dancing, working around the house, and gardening. He was a true handyman who enjoyed working on his vehicles and machines. Prime was an avid fan of hockey, especially his Boston Bruins and New England Patriots. He never missed his favorite game shows, Jeopardy, Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune.

Prime is survived by his son, Ed Tarbox, and his wife, Sue of Gardner; a sister, Claudette Strout and her husband Tom of Templeton; a nephew, Danny Patriquin; many cousins; a significant other, Theresa Doyon of Leominster;   a special friend, Marianne Boudreau-Temes, and many additional friends.

The family has asked all in attendance to please wear Bruins or Line Dancing Attire in memory of Prime's favorite pastimes.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 7, 2024, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at Notre Dame, West Street, Gardner, MA.

Calling Hours will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Vincent de Paul Church, PO Box 14, Templeton, MA 01436, or to Annunciation Parish, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440. Please reference in memory of Prime V. Robichaud.
