Phyllis A. Bouthot, 78, of Orange, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Quabbin Valley Healthcare of Athol.
Born in Gardner on March 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Edmond C. and Frances (Mercier) Bouthot.
Phyllis graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1958.
She was employed as the bookkeeper of the former Atter's Supermarket of Gardner for 40 years, retiring in 2005. Through her years of employment at Atter's Supermarket Phyllis made many friends and was well known by the residents of the Gardner area.
Phyllis enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family. She was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner, and St. Mary's Church of Orange where she was a member of the Women's Auxiliary.
Phyllis leaves one brother, Arthur E. Bouthot of Gardner, two nephews, Neal Bouthot of FL and Charles Bouthot and his wife Beth of Boxford; her significant other, Raymond M. Maronie of Orange; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Patricia S. Bouthot.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 9th at 10:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
There are no calling hours. Family and friends are asked to report directly to the church the morning of services.
