Philip R. Gallant, 58, of 234 Deland Road, Royalston, formerly of 81 Grant Street, Gardner, died Saturday, February 14, 2015 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Ave N, Worcester.
Philip was born in Gardner on May 10, 1956. He was the son of the late Arthur A. and Lucille L. (St. John) Gallant.
He graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1975.
Philip was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
He previously worked and attended the day program at GAAMHA, Inc. of Gardner for many years, and was presently attending the day program at Life Skills of Gardner.
Philip enjoyed going to Cape Cod, fishing, camping and was a huge fan of NASCAR. He had an outgoing personality along with a great sense of humor; he loved people and was loved by all who met him.
Philip leaves one brother, Thomas J. Gallant and his fiancé Lisa DiRusso of Templeton; one aunt, Theresa Leger of Gardner; and several cousins. He also leaves his caretaker of 7 years, with whom he lived, Cindy Gaudet of Royalston.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 21st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.
A calling hour will be held Saturday, February 21st from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
