Peter R."Petey" Schiller

Peter R. "Petey" Schiller, 53, of 34 Abbott Street, Gardner, formerly of Winchendon, died suddenly after being stricken ill at home on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.
Peter was born in Groton on July 17, 1961, the son of the late George and Betsey (Curtis) Schiller.
He was raised in Pepperell and educated in the Pepperell Public School System.
Peter was employed through S & J Services of Danvers as a custodian for the Gardner School Department. For the past three years his employment was at Waterford Street School, where he will always be remembered as jokester for the many pranks he played on all. He was previously a dishwasher for Franklin Pierce University of Rindge, NH and an assembler for Coleman Assembly and Packaging of Gardner. Peter was also employed by MASS Advocates as a motivational speaker. He was a member of the SEIU645 Union.
Peter was an avid fisherman, and participated in the ARC Fishing Derby in Fitchburg with his brother. He loved to play the lottery, was a huge fan of Elvis, loved critters, was an amateur weatherman and had an enormous collection of CD's. He could frequently be seen dining at his favorite restaurant, the Blue Moon Diner of Gardner. He loved to travel and had visited Alaska, Hawaii, California and Belize. He was a kind soul and was a very giving, loving person who was a familiar face wherever he went. Peter was a friend of Bill W.
Peter will be forever missed by his brother, Robert Schiller of Townsend. They were two peas in a pod, and spent every Saturday together strolling through Walmart.
He also leaves his caretaker with whom he lived and who will miss him deeply, Rhonda Johnson and her family of Gardner; his housemate who truly loved him, Timothy Converse; and two uncles and several cousins. Peter will be fondly remembered by many who helped care and support him from the Mentor Network, especially his case manager, Chad Linstruth. He will also be deeply missed by all his friends at GAAHMA, Inc. of Gardner.
Peter was predeceased by his brother, George Schiller.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 2nd at 7:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Pepperell Cemetery, Park Street, Pepperell at a later date.
Calling hours will be held Monday, March 2nd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
