Peter A. Kraskouskas, 64, 29 Knower Road, Westminster, died peacefully Sunday, January 25th in his residence.
Born in Gardner on October 11, 1944, he was the son of the late Anthony and Annie (Lukasevicius) Kraskouskas.
Peter was a retail clerk for 38 years at Anthony's Package Store in Gardner.
Peter graduated from Gardner High School, Gardner with the Class of 1962. He received an Associate Degree in Business in 1965 from Chamberlain Jr. College, Boston.
He was an active and involved member of Holy Spirit Church, Gardner. Peter was a Lector, Acolyte, Collector, Usher and Greeter. He was involved with the Couple to Couple Ministry, the annual Church fair, the Renew Program, the Stewardship Committee, the Finance Committee, RCIA Teaching, Bible study and was a volunteer for the Bishop Fund. Peter was a member of the Mary Rivier Perpetual Adoration Chapel at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
Peter was a member and past president of the Gardner Exchange Club, Gardner. He was a member of A.A.R.P. Peter was a former member of the Army National Guard.
He was a train enthusiast, and was a member of the Mystic Valley Rail Road Club and the Mass. Bay Rail Road Club. Peter loved old movie and reading mystery stories. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburg Pirates. He most enjoyed time spent at his summer home in Dennisport, MA.
Peter leaves his wife of 16 years, Patricia A. (Charland) Kraskouskas of Westminster; two brothers, Anthony Kraskouskas, Jr. and his wife Jacqueline of Gardner and James Kraskouskas and his wife Asta of Princeton; one sister, Louise Giacoppe and her husband George of Huntington, CA; two aunts, Rosie Osterberg of Gardner and Minnie Hakkinen of Gardner; two uncles, Peter Kraskouskas and his wife Laurette of Gardner, and John Kraskouskas of Gardner; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Peter also leaves his beloved poodle dog, "Snoopy".
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday, January 29th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
