Peggy E. "Mim" (Palmer) Noponen, 58, of Gardner, died peacefully Thursday, September 7, 2017 in HealthAlliance Hospital of Leominster, following an illness.
Born in Leominster on November 24, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Earl D. and Laverne (Henderson) Palmer.
Peggy graduated from Leominster High School with the Class of 1976. She was employed by Big Y Supermarkets as a cashier for several years.
Peggy had a beautiful soul and a heart of gold. She loved animals, and she loved helping people. She treasured spending time with her family, and she also enjoyed creating arts and crafts.
She leaves her husband of 22 years, Wayne E. Noponen, of Gardner; one son, Michael J. Morrissette and his wife Sonia; six brothers, Michael Palmer and his wife Kim of Palmer, MA, Guy Palmer of Leominster, Steven Palmer and his wife Karen of Florida, David Palmer and his wife Annie of North Adams, MA, Edward Palmer and his wife Debbie of Singapore, and Kenneth Palmer and his wife Tiffany of Leominster; five sisters, Kathy Canistro and her husband David of Leominster, Lisa Kane of Gardner, Edie LeBlanc of Wareham, Lori Brown and her husband Michael of Leominster, and Tracy Bennet and her husband Carl of PA; two grandchildren, Kendell Sullivan and Hannah Morrissette; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 20th at 12:00 p.m. in Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Wednesday, September 20th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
