Pauline J. (LaFarier) Mundell, 83, of 59 Eastwood Circle, Gardner, formerly of 167 Pleasant St., Gardner, died Monday, April 9th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner following a long illness.
Born in Gardner, on September 6, 1923, she was the daughter of Joseph and Alice (Gravel) LaFarier.
Pauline was employed in the Medical Records Department of North Central Human Services, Gardner, until retiring in 1993. She was previously employed by Simplex Time Recorder as an assembler.
Pauline was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. She was a member of the Gardner Golden Agers.
Pauline was an avid Bingo player, and enjoyed traveling, crocheting and shopping.
She leaves one son, Joseph K. MacAloney and his wife Lorraine of Gardner; one daughter, Marie C. Straitiff and her husband Richard of Orange; one sister, Cecile Basque of Gardner; 2 grandchildren, Joseph and Tina Arsenault; 2 great-grandchildren, Jasmine Marcott and Kirsten Giroux; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Joseph, Raymond and Roy LaFarier; and 1 sister, Rose Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Saturday, April 14th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
