Pauline M. "Grammy" (King) LaRoche, 99, of 288 Park Street, Gardner, died peacefully, Friday, April 10, 2015 in her residence, surrounded by family.
Born in Gardner on February 24, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Clovis and Pelagie (LeBlanc) King.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. Pauline was also a member of the Chair City Pipers for over 30 years.
Pauline enjoyed dancing, traveling, listening to music and going out to dinner. She was an avid collector of dolls and teddy bears. She enjoyed watching baseball and football, and was a loyal fan of Tom Brady. Pauline treasured spending time with her family, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who spent her life as a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Romeo J. "Rump" LaRoche, who died November 22, 1986.
Pauline leaves one son, James R. LaRoche and his wife Norma of Gardner; one daughter, Charlotte A. Rheault and her husband Richard of Gardner; three grandchildren, Jonathan De LaRoche and his wife Amy, Timothy LaRoche and Jason Duda; five great-grandchildren, Janna LaRoche, Madeline LaRoche, Camden LaRoche, Claudia De LaRoche and Colton De LaRoche. She was predeceased by her son, Stephen LaRoche and by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery of Gardner at a later date.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 14th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions, which will be used for youth services, may be made to the Clark Memorial YMCA, 155 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.
