Pauline L. (Fredette) Gautreau, 85, of 821 Daniel Shays Highway, Athol and formerly of 291 Park St., Gardner died Saturday in the Quabbin Valley Health Care, Athol, following an illness.
Born in Gardner on January 7, 1918, she was the daughter of Alfred and Alzida (Gagne) Fredette.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed knitting, making crafts and liked the outdoors.
Her husband of 53 years, Euclide J. Gautreau, died in 1994.
She leaves 3 daughters, Diana L. Fontaine and Doris L. Pierce, both of Gardner and Cecile E. Davidowicz of Hope, RI; 1 brother, Raymond Fredette of Albuquerque, NM; 1 sister, Rita Gastonguay of Fitchburg; 4 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 1 brother and 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner.
Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
