Paul E.L. Lloyd, Jr., 62, of 2 Lake Avenue, E. Templeton died Friday, October 1st in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on October 7, 1947, he was the son of the late Paul E.L. and Mildred H. (Schofield) Lloyd.
Prior to retiring in 2000, Paul was a woodworker employed by Nichols and Stone Company of Gardner for 14 years.
He graduated from Murdock High School with the Class of 1968.
Paul was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron #373 of Baldwinville. He was past Quartermaster of the Royal Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps of Gardner. Paul was also a Bingo caller for the American Legion of Baldwinville and the Royal Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps of Gardner.
He enjoyed watching sports on television, especially NASCAR racing and wrestling. Paul built picnic tables for over 20 years. He liked to spend time camping at Peaceful Pines Campground in Templeton. Paul most enjoyed spending time with his family and two grandchildren.
Paul leaves his wife of 39 years, Valerie A. (Adams) of E. Templeton; one son, John W. Lloyd and his wife Tammi of Templeton; one sister-in-law, Deborah Menear and her husband Jon of Gardner; two grandchildren, Katerina "Katie" Lloyd and Kristen Lloyd; several auntes, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Bruce Lloyd.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 6th at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Tuesday, October 5th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
