Paul E. Aube, 81, of 209 Connors Street, Gardner, died Saturday, March 22nd in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner, on September 25, 1926, he was the son of the late Joseph Jules and Loretta (Malo) Aube.
Paul was a time clock assembler employed by Simplex Time Recorder of Gardner for 30 years, retiring in 1988.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. Paul was also a member of the Massachusetts State Guards, Gardner from 1944 through 1947.
Mr. Aube enjoyed woodcarving, playing pool, and oil and acrylic painting.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Yvette R. (Gallant) Aube of Gardner; two sons, Richard P. Aube of Gardner and Peter J. Aube and his wife Lynne of Athol; three brothers, Robert Aube, Roger Aube and Leo Aube and his wife Rosemary all of Gardner; one sister, Juliette Denmark of Florida; one granddaughter Kaitlyn Aube of Athol; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Robert W. Aube, who died June 15, 2001.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 27th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Following cremation, burial will take place in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Wednesday, March 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
