Patty L. Roy

Patty L. (Anderkin) Roy, 87, of Phillipston, died peacefully Monday, December 27, 2021, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.

Born in Conway, Kentucky, on April 5, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Pearl (Martin) Anderkin. She graduated from Berea High School and College in Berea, KY. Patty was a Cafeteria Manager employed by Phillipston Elementary School for 11-years prior to her retirement in 1997.

Patty was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church in Templeton. She enjoyed knitting, golfing, watching television, and cooking. Her family was her pride and joy, always treasuring each special moment with them.

Patty is survived by her husband of 66-years, Edward R. Roy of Phillipston; three daughters, Robin L. Earle and her husband Michael of Phillipston, Annette R. Gray and her husband Jason of Phillipston, and Susan M. Drouin and her husband Brian of Phillipston; three sons, Richard R. Roy and his wife Paula of Lowell, Daniel J. Roy of Groton, and John F. Roy and his wife Lauren of Phillipston; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Wanda Prater of Berea, KY, Frances Cusazk of Richmond, KY, Peggy Mason and her husband Bobby of Crab Orchard, KY; a brother, Preston Frank Anderkin and his wife Arlene of Conway, KY; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by a son, Mark E. Roy; three sisters, Gladys Gill, Dorothy Osolvesky, and Loretta Livingston.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
