Patricia M."Pat Pat" McPherson

Patricia M. "Pat Pat" (Ducharme) McPherson, 79, of 105 Kendall Pond East, Gardner died peacefully Monday, November 7, 2011 in her residence following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on August 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Esther J. (Brown) Ducharme.
Patricia was a bookkeeper employed by Rousseau Brothers of Gardner for several years, retiring in 1957 to become a full time homemaker. She was previously employed by Custom and Modern Manufacturing Company of Gardner.
She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1950 and later received a degree in Business and Accounting from Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner.
Patricia was a member of Chestnut Street United Methodist Church in Gardner.
She enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, tending to her garden and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Patricia was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Gardner E. McPherson, who died April 22, 2004.
She leaves four sons, Gordon A. McPherson and his wife Rebecca J. of East Templeton, Scott B. McPherson and his wife Kathleen of East Templeton, David J. McPherson, Sr. and his wife Kimberly of Gardner and Gardner E. McPherson, Jr. and his wife Janna of Gardner; one daughter, Lorna J. Pecore and her husband Anthony of Templeton; eleven grandchildren, Robert Mercier, Joel Mercier, Craig McPherson, Brenda McPherson, Jessica Beaudoin, Justin McPherson, David McPherson, Jr., John McPherson, Peter Fedders, Christopher Fedders and Jocelyn McPherson; three great-grandchildren, Mikayla Grabowski and Derek and Joshua Beaudoin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Richard Smith, Francis Ducharme and Lawrence Ducharme; two sisters, Dorothy Smith-Prendergast and Rosemary Ducharme; and by one grandson, Jared McPherson who died in January of 2011.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 10th at 1:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Road, Winchendon.
A calling hour will be Thursday, November 10th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
