Patricia D. "Pat" (Racine) Dembek, 74, of 15 Turner St., Otter River, died Wednesday, October 26th in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Gardner, following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on April 23, 1931, she was the daughter of George and Valerie (Dumont) Racine.
She was a secretary last employed by Pandiscio Realty of Gardner. She was previously a cafeteria worker for the Narragansett Regional School District, a telephone operator at N.E. Telephone & Telegraph and an office worker at the former Heywood-Wakefield Co. of Gardner.
Pat was a 1950 graduate of Gardner High School and was a member of St. Martin's Church, Otter River.
She taught floral arranging, enjoyed doing crafts, walking and especially attending her grandchildren's sport activities.
She leaves her husband of 52 years, Joseph E. Dembek of Otter River; 3 sons, Keith R. Dembek and wife Theresa, Kriss R. Dembek and wife Cynthia all of Gardner, Kirk R. Dembek of Otter River; 1 sister, Paulette LaChance of Sarasota, FL; 4 grandchildren, Andrew F., Lauren M., Ross N. and Cole S. Dembek; 2 aunts, Loretta Hitchcock of Westminster, Sister Valentine Dumont of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 28th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forest St., Baldwinville. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, October 27th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
