Pamela Joan (Rix) Ormsby, 59, of 15 Birch St., Gardner, died Thursday, March 29th in Umass Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester, following an illness.
Born in Fitchburg on January 17, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Joan (Packard) Rix.
She was a member of First Congregational Church, Gardner.
She was a member of Order of Jessamine Star Chapter #75 of Gardner, Women's Auxillary of the American Legion Gardner Post 129, and the Women's Auxillary of theVietnam Veterans' Association. Pamela enjoyed walking and was fond of Native American crafts, loved wolves and dogs, black Labrador retrievers, and especially her dog, Mindy.
She leaves her husband of 16 years, Elias "Dusty" Ormsby of Gardner; her father, Robert Rix Sr.of Winchendon; 2 daughters, Laura and Tina; 2 brothers, Harry Rix and his wife Denise of Athol, Robert Rix Jr. and his wife Cindy of Raymond, NH; 2 sisters, Sharron Rix of Wallingford, VT, Cathy Eckert and her husband Larry of New Salem; 4 grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 4th at 1:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, April 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
