Omer J. LeBlanc, 63, of 276 Lunenburg Street, Fitchburg, died Sunday, January 1, 2012 in HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster, following a long illness.
Born in St. Antoine, N.B. Canada on August 29, 1948, he was the son of the late Henri and Aurore (Legere) LeBlanc.
Omer was employed in the Maintenance Department of H & R 1871 Manufacturing Company of Gardner for several years, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of Summit Elder Care in Leominster. Omer enjoyed fishing, bowling and spending time with his grandchildren.
He leaves his wife of 36 years, Robbin L. (Bennett) Leblanc of Fitchburg; one son, Adam J. LeBlanc of Gardner; two daughters, Kathy M. LeBlanc of Lewiston, ME and Crystal M. Wheeler and her husband Brian of Fitchburg; five brothers, Louis J. LeBlanc of Baldwinville, Edmond J. LeBlanc, Leo J. LeBlanc, Cleo J. LeBlanc and Herve J. LeBlanc and his wife Alice all of Gardner; four sisters, Jeannita M. Richard and her husband David, Corinne M. Bouchard and her husband Roger, Bertha M. Prentiss and Annette M. Melanson and her husband Victor all of Gardner; seven grandchildren, Joshua J. LeBlanc, Judea J. Willis, Jada J. Willis, Anthony D. Wheeler, Ryan D. Wheeler, Ryan D. Wheeler, Anya M. LeBlanc and Chloe M. LeBlanc; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 5th at 12:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral will be Thursday, January 5th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
