Norman H. Boudreau

January 30, 1926 — February 9, 2006

Norman H. Boudreau, 80, of 261 High St., Gardner, died peacefully in his residence Thursday, February 9th surrounded by his family.

Born in Waltham on January 30, 1926, he was the son of Jacob and Evangeline (Boudreau) Boudreau.

He was a machinist employed at Collier-Keyworth Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1988.

Mr. Boudreau was a member of Holy Spirit Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 747 and V.F.W. Ovila Case Post 905 of Gardner. He enjoyed sports, making puzzles and refinishing furniture. He especially loved his grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and received the Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star and the United Nations Service Medal.

His wife of 50 years, Juliette (Thoin) Boudreau, who was #1 in his life, died in 2004.

He leaves 1 son, Steven J. Boudreau and wife Donna of Haverhill; 4 daughters, Susan M. Boudreau and partner Tami Berk of Seattle, WA, Janet A. Rutkiewicz and husband James of Wells, ME, Patricia J. Connors and husband James of Gardner, Christine M. Mitchell and husband Richard of Cumberland, ME; 1 brother, George Boudreau of Gardner; 10 grandchildren, Justin, Jared, Jeremy Rutkiewicz, Aaron and Juliette Mitchell, Sarah, Annie and Brian Connors, Michael and Kathryn Boudreau; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Del Boudreau and a sister, Bernadette LeBlanc.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Spirit Church, 25 Lovewell St., Gardner. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Winchendon.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday, February 13th from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 63 Fairmount St., Fitchburg, MA or to Gardner Visiting Nursing Assn., 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
