Norman J. Belliveau, 68, of 41 Sunrise Drive, Baldwinville, died Tuesday, July 19th in his residence following a long illness.
Born in St. Paul, NB, Canada, on August 23, 1936, he was the son of Edgar and Beatrice (Breau) Belliveau.
He was a sample maker employed by Kamenstein Co. of Gardner for several years until retiring in 1986. He was formerly employed by George Bent Co. of Gardner.
He received his GED and took special courses in electronics at Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Baldwinville, and Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
Norman enjoyed fishing and carpentry.
He served in the Canadian Army from 1957 to 1961.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Rita D. (Meunier) Belliveau of Baldwinville; 3 sons, Omer P. Belliveau of Athol, Gerry L. Belliveau of Baldwinville and Daniel W. Belliveau and wife Rogette of Gardner; 1 daughter, Susan L. O'Brien and husband David of Winchendon; 4 brothers, Clarence Belliveau of Moncton, NB Canada, Henry Belliveau of Winchendon, Francis Belliveau of Gardner, Ivan Belliveau of Waltham; 1 sister, Theresa Meunier of Moncton, NB Canada; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 22nd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, July 21st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
