Noella M. (Mailloux) (Franklin) Harris, 90, of 51 Hospital Road, Baldwinville and formerly of 104 Church Street, Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, March 18th in the Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville.
Born in Gardner on December 25, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Fredeline (Letellier) Mailloux.
Noella was employed by Professional Pharmacy of Gardner, until retiring in 1982. She was previously employed by the former Carroll Cut Rate Co. of Gardner as a clerk for 25 years.
Mrs. Harris was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. She was also a member of the Gardner Golden Ages, Forever Young Club, Ashburnham and the Gardner Professional Women's Club.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, arts and crafts, needlepoint and crocheting. She enjoyed dancing and listening to the French radio program on WGAW. She especially loved her family and the time she spent with them.
Noella was predeceased by her first husband, Edward W. Franklin who died August 28, 1968 and by her second husband, William H. Harris who died October 20, 1987.
She leaves two sons, Richard E. Franklin and his wife Martha of Gardner, and Robert J. Franklin of Gardner; eight grandchildren, Christopher Franklin, Noreen Simmons, Kelly Celony, Patrick Franklin, John Franklin, Catherine Clemons, Erin Franklin and Shannon Franklin; thirteen great-grandchildren, Ashley Clemons, Brian Franklin, Jacob Francis, Jessica Sislo, Heather Franklin, Woobins-Kel-Celony, Alec Ashworth, Ainsley, Justin, Lily and Grace Franklin, Weller and Nathaniel Simmons; several nieces and nephews, and a dear friend, Alice Rahaim of Gardner. She was predeceased by five brothers, Emile, Robert, Leonard, Rosaire and Alphee Mailloux; four sisters, Sister St. Thomas, Laura LeBlanc, Florence McCormick and Claire LeBlanc; and by a daughter-in-law, Judith Franklin who died October 26, 2004.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 24th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be at a later date in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, March 23rd from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to either Holy Rosary School-Window Fund or to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, both at 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
